Chicisimo, fashion portal, in funding deal
More good news in the Spanish start-up scene, as a major funding result has been announced by the shopping community start-up Chicisimo to the tune of 600,000 Euros. The investment has been made by various parties, including Vitamina K and CCH.
Since its 2010 launch Chicisimo has had amazing success and become the biggest on-line fashion community in Europe. It enables its mostly female userbase to share their style tips and their favourite brands.
There are more than 6,000 brands to peruse and the site is available in 8 languages. According to Nielsen Netview Chicisimo is the portal most viewed by fashion buyers within Spain. The platform is currently applying game theory to develop site loyalty and growth, and no doubt the new investment will help them to achieve this.
