Etece, the platform for solution-providers, gains 450,000 euro funding deal
Billed as the Spanish equivalent to the American Taskrabbit, Etece has raised € 450,000 to expand to 4 more cities - it already operates in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
The Madrid start-up, originally backed by Jesús Encinar (idealista.com), Carlos Muñoz (Vueling) and François Derbaix (Toprural, already boasts 400 "problem solvers" and is aiming to have 1,000 by the end of the year. It brands itself as the place that saves time for those too busy to get certain things done.
Problems that can be solved by the platform recruits include building jobs, dog walking, installations, interpreting and even cleaning. The idea is that the solution providers compete with each other to win the business - which results in a discount for the purchaser. The transaction fee is held by the website, so if the client is not happy the money is paid back.
The services provided by the platform will now, as a result of this funding, be made available in Seville, Malaga, Bilbao and Zaragoza.
