HTML5 games platform Ludei gains $1.5 million in funding.
The html5 games development platform Ludei, founded by entrepreneur and angel investor Eneko Knorr, has raised 1.5 million dollars in investment to expand its engineering team and engage on further expansion.
Ludei is banking on its platform for games developers that allows one set of coding that will work on different mobile devices, and the round has been funded by venture capital funds such as Kibo Ventures, Vitamina K, and angel investors such as Yago Arbeloa and Elena Gomez del Pozuelo.
CEO Enoko Knorr is well known in Spanish start-up circles as an entrepreneur who sold one company (Hostalia) to Telefonica, and the man behind Ideateca, a startup incubator and accelerator. He also has investments in other companies such as Chicisimo, Foundum and Ticketbis.
Enoko made a decision to build the company in California, as Silicon Valley was seen as the ideal place to attract top developers in the html5 field. Ludei’s cloud-based platform has already made its mark in the field, and to date powers more than 500 iOS and Android game titles.
