Recruitment specialist Jobandtalent raises $3.3 million after successful pivot.
A recruitment start-up that uses linguistic analysis to alert candidates of suitables vacancies, jobandtalent.com , has raised $3.3 million in a funding round. The round was led by investors such as Kibo Ventures, Felix Ruiz (a co-founder of Spanish social network Tuenti) and Alfonso Villanueva.
It started off as a platform that allowed candidates to use their Facebook network to find job opportunities and network within their sector. After pivoting it introduced a toolset of linguistic analysis that alerts candidates to relevant, current adverts. The algorithms does more than just keyword matching, and claims to pick up relevant matches where competitors such as Bright.com do not.
Jobandtalent.com, which now operates in both Spain and the UK, has more than 500,000 registered users and has signed up with various large employers such as Morgan Stanley, Ericsson and Deloitte. The funding will be used for further development of the matching code, new mobile apps, and launching into new markets across the Atlantic.
Anything that improves the matching of relevant jobs to suitable candidates is to be welcomed, and congratulations to such a new entrant to the recruitment business for making such an impact!
