Whisbi continues international expansion by entering German market with O2
We mentioned in an earlier entry that Whisbi, the video-conferencing start-up, had gained major funding from BDMI (the Bertelsmann group).
Well they seem to be going from strength to strength, having reached already 100 staff spread across Barcelona, Madrid, London and São Paulo. We have now heard that they have entered the German market in collaboration with O2.
According to the report here in Spanish - Whisbi services will allow O2 to offer real-time interactions (automatically by smart agents) with their customers when they purchase ADSL and fixed telephony lines.
The director of O2's telesales in Germany, Regina Lange, has stated that "we are very excited with Whisby's services, and the possibilities they create for interacting with our customers. It's the first time we have used video interactions, allowing us to give a more personalised attention in the online channel, which we believe is exactly what our customers expect from us."
This expansion abroad comes after major success in gaining clients in Spain. Global companies such as Vodafone, Citibank, Iberdrola and American Express have already been able to increase sales on-line through the use of Whisbi's innovative technology.
