Indisys, provider of Intelligent Dialogue Systems, close $5 million funding round.

Intel's first investment in Spain arrived when they led a $5 million funding round with Indisys in late 2012.

Indisys, short for "Intelligent Dialogue Systems", are world leaders in providing natural language virtual assistants and telephone operators. Their software is used by banks, telecoms and retail firms throughout the world, although obviously their current strength is in Spanish and Latin American markets.

The company will use the funding round to expand at a greater rate internationally, particularly in the all-important US market.

Congratulations to all at Indisys, particularly to their woman founder and ceo Pilar Manchon. Her twitter feed describes her as a world-shaker, and the success of Indisys coupled with this funding deal confirms that description.
