Medical advice portal Saluspot closes 1 Million euro round

Saluspot, an online community that brings sufferers and medical advisors together, has just closed a funding round of 1 million Euros, financed by investors such as Cabiedes & Partners, the Fundación José Manuel Entrecanales and Vitamin K.

The platform curently boasts of 500 active medical professionals online, and has resolved 6,000 queries raised by users in the last 8 months. Gonzalo Castellano, an entrepreneur behind the organisation, started the enterprise when he realised the numbers of people reverting to google to resolve their medical concerns.

Saluspot positions itself as the place where people with relevant concerns can get advice from trained medical advisors in an anonymous and free environment.
