Barcelona start-up addFleet raises $3 million funding deal

addFleet has recently announced a 3 million funding deal that will allow it to expand worldwide - the backers include Telefonica Ventures and Caixa Capital TIC.

The Barcelona start-up provides intelligent systems for transportation using a cloud-based mobility system and M2M tecnology that allows taxi or ambulance control centres etc., to do away with old radio systens and servers.

Interestingly addFleet is part of the Inspirit group, founded by the serial entrepreneur Didac Lee. The funding is Telefonica Ventures' first such transaction within Spain. But perhaps the most impressive part of this news is that addFleet was only recently formed at the start of 2012.
